Online STEP 3D model editor
Open STEP or STP from your computer or My parts. Add or subtract material, change position and scale, and save a separate copy for estimation.
- Solid geometry and STEP export
- Select bodies, faces, edges and vertices on the canvas
- First save or export 1 credit; further outputs of the same part free
Three steps to move forward
- 01
Create a model or open STEP/STP.
- 02
Insert a solid using an icon, or draw and extrude a sketch. Edit your selection with canvas handles.
- 03
Save a new part or export STEP marked for estimation only.
3D estimation references in one place
Insert boxes, cylinders, spheres, tori, cones, tubes, pyramids, geospheres and a procedural teapot using icons. Select bodies, faces, edges and vertices on the canvas; move, rotate and scale them with handles. Draw rectangles, circles, arcs, ellipses, polygons, stars, rings and further sketches on XY, XZ or YZ planes. Extrude or revolve them around a defined axis. Set segment counts, text and spatial helices. Sketches snap to vertices and the grid. Keyboard shortcuts, planar face extrusion, edge fillets, undo and redo are available. Dimensions are in millimeters.
STEP import does not restore the original feature history. Moving one planar face along its normal preserves the exact CAD solid, including with the G tool. Other free movement of vertices, edges and faces converts the edited body to faceted geometry. Face extrusion and edge fillets use exact CAD operations. The assembly tree retains original component names. Rename and group components, flatten assemblies, or save and export a component or subassembly separately. Export preserves names and hierarchy; original constraints and shared instance references are not restored. The original file is preserved. Mesh STL, OBJ and other formats belong in the viewer rather than this editor. The resulting STEP is an estimation reference, not manufacturing documentation; verify geometry, units and dimensions.
Frequently asked questions
What does the segment count change?
For an exact CAD circle it controls sketch sampling; the STEP circle stays smooth. Polygonal mode changes the actual point count and exported geometry. A plane remains a sketch without thickness; open curves form ribbons for solid construction, and a helix creates a tube.
When is a credit charged?
On the first confirmed save or export of the result. Preview is free; both actions and reopening the saved part share an unlock. A new model and each extracted part or subassembly have their own one-credit unlock on first save or export.
Is the STEP suitable for manufacturing?
No. The filename and standard header contain an estimation-only notice. The marking does not alter geometry. Some CAD applications do not display the header or remove it on resaving; it is not a technical manufacturing restriction.
