Technical drawing PDF to STEP online
Turn a technical PDF drawing into a nominal 3D model for cost estimation. AI compares views, sections, dimensions and isometric views, showing evidence and assumptions.
- Views, sections and dimensions together, up to 8 PDF pages
- Report of dimensions, tolerances, uncertainty and omitted features
- Subsequent STEP edits in the 3D editor are free
Three steps to move forward
- 01
Open a PDF or choose a library drawing and select pages of the same part.
- 02
Run analysis and review data and assumptions. Incomplete input or unsupported geometry does not use a credit.
- 03
Confirm the result for 1 credit. Edit in the 3D editor, save to parts or export STEP.
From a 2D drawing to a 3D estimation reference
Analysis reads selected PDF pages as text and images. It relates orthographic and isometric views, sections, dimensions and ISO A/E projection symbols. Nominal geometry uses primitives, extruded and revolved profiles and hole subtraction. Tolerances and GD&T are included in the report, not as manufacturing PMI in STEP.
This is AI reconstruction with limited accuracy, not a universal converter for every drawing. Missing dimensions, conflicts, unreadable input and unsupported features may prevent or limit reconstruction. Review the report and result; threads, fillets and other details may need manual completion in the 3D editor. The original PDF is preserved.
Frequently asked questions
When is a credit charged?
Analysis is free. One credit is charged after review when the completed result is first unlocked. Reopening, editing, saving and exporting the same result are free; a new conversion has its own unlock.
Can I edit STEP after conversion?
Yes. Open the result in the 3D editor; its unlock transfers, so edits and further outputs do not use another credit. A separately extracted part or subassembly has its own unlock.
Can the result be used for manufacturing?
No. Results are for estimation only, not manufacturing or machine control. STEP is marked in its filename and header; DXF also has visible text outside the contour. Manufacturing requires separate professional validation and manufacturing documentation.
