Repair DXF for laser cutting estimates
An open contour or format issue can prevent a DXF estimate. Review a proposed repair and decide whether to accept it for estimation.
- Select individual or all damaged library DXFs
- Preview changes before accepting a repair
- Preserve the original file
Three steps to move forward
- 01
Add files or filter for damaged DXFs in the selection dialog.
- 02
Review the proposed repair and added segments.
- 03
Accept the repair and use the result for estimation.
A repair must preserve the intended part shape
Closing a gap automatically is not proof of correct geometry. Check whether a proposed connection matches the drawing and preserves the meaning of a hole or contour. Otherwise, edit the geometry manually in the CAD editor.
Repaired DXF is only a reference for indicative estimation. Before download, a warning explains that it is not intended for manufacturing or machine control. The original file is preserved.
