Optimize part placement on sheet metal
See how a batch of parts could fit onto a sheet. Placement using actual contours helps compare material utilization before production planning.

Three steps to move forward
- 01
Select parts and enter the required quantities.
- 02
Set sheet dimensions, material, thickness and placement conditions.
- 03
Review the layout and compare another variation.
Sheet utilization before cutting-plan preparation
Part shapes affect how a sheet can be filled alongside other items. Placement uses DXF contours and quantities. Compare utilization percentage, sheet count and part-orientation restrictions.
The result is indicative. The algorithm does not guarantee globally minimum waste, and the output is not a machine cutting plan. Layouts do not change the cost calculator's material-consumption formula.
Frequently asked questions
Does nesting change the cost estimate?
It is a separate tool for comparing layouts. Cost estimation uses its own material and labour calculation.
Do I need completed part estimates?
No. Select processed DXFs from your library and use their contours and required quantities directly.
